Meet Ruffie, the 5-year-old dog who stole my heart during our photoshoot at Rocket Dog Rescue in Oakland, California! At 55 pounds, this guy is mostly deaf and partially blind, but he doesn’t let that slow him down. Ruffie is independent, easygoing, and loves to roll around in the grass or zoom around the yard when he gets the chance.


Photographing Ruffie was an absolute joy. He had so much fun sniffing everything in sight and showing off his playful side. While he’s still working on leash manners and can get a bit too excited around female dogs, he’s super friendly, enjoys belly rubs, and is a big fan of his Kong toy. Ruffie is looking for a home where he can spend plenty of time outside and get all the love he deserves.
