One of the most unforgettable shoots I’ve done was with Oreo, an adoptable dog from Rocket Dog Rescue in Oakland. It’s been a few months since our session, but I still think about him. Every once in a while, a dog comes along who completely steals your heart, and Oreo was one of those!

From the second we met, Oreo’s energy was contagious, he greeted me with full-body wiggles and eyes that lit up with excitement. During our shoot, he was curious, affectionate, and bursting with personality. He made every frame better just by being his extremely photo-genetic self.

Oreo is a Belgian Malinois (mix?) so yes, he’s smart, athletic, and needs a home ready to meet him at his level. He’s friendly, people-loving, and currently thriving with structure and training. He’s looking for a home that understands working breeds and can give him the stimulation, consistency, and love he needs to shine. Whether it’s hiking, training, or just a game of fetch in the yard, Oreo is always ready to engage. And after all the action? He’s happy to settle in for some serious cuddle time. He’s about 1.5 years old, crate- and potty-trained, and has been working hard on his basic manners.
