Your dog’s comfort always comes first, so we follow their lead throughout the session. Whether they’re running, playing, exploring, or simply relaxing, we create space for them to just be themselves. And yes, plenty of treats are involved along the way. This is all about capturing your dog’s personality in a natural, relaxed way while they enjoy the experience.

For larger collections or special requests, we can arrange the most suitable way to get your artwork to you.

FAQ

Booking & General Questions

Can I reschedule if life or weather happens?

Yes! Within reason of course. Life happens and weather in the bay is very unpredictable. Just email me to adjust your date.

My Dog isn't doing well, but I can't find a date soon enough

First of all, I am so sorry to hear that 🖤

Please email me! I’ll work with you to find a date and time and location that works for all of us.

Do I need to decide what I want to purchase before the session?

Not at all, most people decide after they’ve seen their images. If you already have something in mind (like a statement wall piece or a full collection), feel free to share! It helps me tailor the session so we create images that fit your vision perfectly.

Want to keep things simple? You can purchase a curated collection ahead of your session for a seamless experience where everything is taken care of for you.

Can I buy a session as a gift?

Yes! Visit the shop or email me to purchase a gift session.

Dog-Specific Questions

My dog is a shy baby, is that okay?

As the mom of a very shy and skittish pup, I completely understand your worries. Strangers, the wind, camera equipment, or even just the outdoors can all feel intimidating. We’ll go at your dog's pace, if that means we walk around and get to know each other for an hour before the shoot starts, that’s totally fine. Lots of treats and positive reinforcement will be distributed, and most dogs warm up quickly. If you think we need a different approach, just send me a message and we’ll figure it out together.

My dog is very reactive, can we still do a session?

Absolutely, but some spots are better than others for reactive pups. The best approach is to call or email so we can brainstorm the ideal location that keeps everyone happy and safe.

My dog can’t be off-leash or sit on cue, is that a problem?

Absolutely not! I am there to capture your dog being their wild, silly, goofy self. Thanks to modern technology I am able to capture them at 1/1000th of a second, no need for them to stay in the same position for long. We will get some photos of them sitting, but many more of them just doing doggie things. Personally, I love some crazy tongue-out action!

For safety we will keep your dog on leash throughout the shoot. No worries though, I will make it disappear through the magic of photoshop!

Preparation & Practicalities

How can I prepare my dog for the shoot?

We all want to look our best for photos, right? For our long and curly haired pups I would recommend a bath and grooming a day or so before the shoot. Make sure those beautiful eyes aren't hiding from us! For our short haired friends, a bath or just a good thorough brushing will do.

Please avoid planning a grooming appointment on the same day as our shoot. Baths are stressful and we want your pup to be as happy and stress free as possible prior to the shoot.

Can harnesses or gentle leaders be photoshopped out?

No, bulky harnesses can hide your dog’s chest, and gentle leaders may create shadows, so a flat collar usually works best. If you don’t feel confident swapping, that’s totally fine, your pup will still shine, even with a few extra accessories!

How can i book?

You can book instantly, schedule a call, or send me an email, whatever feels easiest for you. Head over to the booking page to get started.
