If you’re looking for a pet photographer in San Francisco who works with rescue dogs and shy pups, you’re in the right place. I recently had the joy of photographing Fuzzbert, a gentle dog who is now in foster care with Rocket Dog Rescue, this little session was something very special.
Just a few weeks ago, Fuzzbert was marked for euthanasia due to overcrowding. Rocket Dog Rescue stepped in and gave him a second chance. Now he’s safe, decompressing in foster care, and slowly starting to trust the world again.
During our photoshoot, Fuzzbert stayed close to my fellow volunteer, clearly comforted by their calm energy. He was shy but curious, offering up soft glances and quiet moments that said more than words ever could. And just when we thought we’d seen it all, he surprised us with a joyful burst of zoomies.
He may still be a little bit timid, but there’s a spark in him that’s impossible to miss. His new photos capture not just what he looks like, but who he is.
Update: He has been adopted! 🖤
Your dog has a story, too.
Maybe they're a rescue who's finally found their safe place. Maybe they're your adventure buddy, your couch companion, or the little shadow who follows you everywhere. Maybe they're getting older, and you're realizing just how much you want to remember this chapter of your life together.
Whatever your story looks like, the bond you share is uniquely yours. And one day, those little everyday moments may be the ones you treasure most. Because your dog's story isn't just about where they came from. It's about the life you're sharing now.
What story do you share with your dog?
